The Cass Art Prize 2024, presented by The Cass Group, aims to champion contemporary art from across the UK & Ireland, with a £10,000 cash prize and a free stand at The Other Art Fair in spring 2025 awarded to the overall winner of the competition. There are additional prizes worth £5,000 including a Student Award, an Art Educators Award and more. Visitors to this inaugural exhibition can enjoy a diverse range of artwork including printmaking, drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media.
Works were selected by a respected panel of guest judges with extensive knowledge and experience across the art industry, including artists Curtis Holder, Justin Mortimer and Sinta Tantra, Independent Curator Kathleen Soriano, gallery Founder & Owner Pippy Houldsworth, Co-Host of podcast Talk Art and Partner at Carl Freedman Gallery Robert Diament, and Ryan Stanier Founder of The Other Art Fair.
In addition, five category-winning works from the long-running SAA Artists of the Year competition will also be on display alongside five works by Cass Group Staff artists.
Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to vote for their favourite artwork on display. The artist whose work receives the most votes will be awarded The People’s Choice Award – £1,000 of art supplies.
