The Heart of the Matter is an exhibition that brings together art and medicine to reflect on the human heart. Created by artist Sofie Layton and bioengineer Giovanni Biglino, and inspired by patients with heart conditions, their families and clinicians, this exhibition features 3D printing, digital animation, printed textiles, sound installation and sculpture. The artworks and the stories that have influenced them offer insight into this extraordinary organ, which is both the engine room of our body and a symbol of human emotion.
