Goldsmiths BA Design Degree Show

When a designer tries to bend something to their will, a tension pushes back. We not only have a relationship with our materials; we are a material too. We are here, falling through time and taking up space. Breathing in air and consuming food. We can’t exist without taking. Yet the things we take aren’t passive bits of material or playthings; non-humans have agency too. Taking is not a one way transaction. The milk has turned against us, just as all things do. But we rarely notice.

A splice of our practices will exist over four days in a pocket in Peckham. As you search this show, the works will happen to you, and happen to each other. Vibrating amongst you, they will nudge and knock through space and over time. We forget that things happen to us. Through searching this show, we will remember that they do.
