House of African Art Part 2 – Seeing Sounds

..Seeing Sounds….

Following the success of the House of African Art (HAART) launch in March 2019, we are delighted to announce that our second exhibition and event line-up will be between Tuesday 1 – Monday 7 October at Copeland Gallery.

Titled Seeing Sounds, the exhibition will explore the connections between sounds and visual artwork. Whether that’s how sounds and music influence the imagination and therefore creative output or artwork which make or depict sounds through their fluidity or which simply create a feeling of being transported to a vibrant, bustling setting, Seeing Sounds will exhibit works from a selection of visual artists, have evening talks where we will discuss the theme, spoken word poetry performances and live musicians (think jazz, Afrobeats and neo-soul).

Participating visual artists are: Dennis Osadebe, Derrick Ofosu Boateng, Euan Roberts, Jumoke Sanwo, Moufouli Bello and Williams Chechet.
