Originally trained as a jewellery designer in Germany, Bine holds an MA in Textiles Mixed Media (RCA) where she started combining traditional materials with contemporary techniques. Bine has a profound knowledge of craft and materials, whilst using new technologies as a research method and inspiration to design pieces.

Her collections deal with the play on chains. These minimalist designs at its most basic, stripped to superfluous elements and shapes, stand out through the texture created through various chains. The focus is on the material, its appearance and flexibility. Influenced by movements like De Stijl and Bauhaus, she favours linear and geometrical forms which, once worn, change into different shapes. Her designs change appearance as they move with the bodies movements. Most of her designs are characterised by strong shapes combined with a serene lightness of movable chains which allow the designs to dance on the body.
