Experts in human powered events and workshops, Electric Pedals offer event hires and products for all creative ideas; from bicycle-powered cinemas, music stages, corporate installations and workshops to energy engagement activities and challenges. And all without the use of a single battery or generator.

With backgrounds in engineering and event management, the chaps behind the tools, knowledge and expertise are Colin Tonks and Steven Robertson whose combined skills helped set up this one-of-a-kind events company. They design and build all their own human powered equipment from their Bussey Building workshop, with the sole aim of promoting sustainability and energy appreciation.

Electric Pedals operate, and supply, worldwide and have worked with clients all over Europe, Africa and South America. Combining ideas of sustainability, energy awareness and health and exercise, it also holds events with a focus on education, community and fun; from art installations through community-led initiatives and corporate events.

A project of note that Electric Pedals collaborated on was The Pedal-Powered Cinema Project in rural Uganda, which saw two kids mountain bikes generating the energy for a cinema screening presented on hilltop villages. Since launching, around 150,000 children and adults have attended proving that although Electric Pedals is at the forefront of bicycle-powered innovation, community remains at its core.
