Future Ritual is a London-based arts organisation producing performance art projects, public programmes, and creative gatherings. Founded by curator Joseph Morgan Schofield, Future Ritual has been organising performances and projects across London since 2017, formalising as a community interest company in 2023.
At the heart of Future Ritual’s work is a belief that live and embodied practices offer a way of connecting with ourselves, each other, and the places we inhabit. The organisation produces original artistic projects, supports artists and other curious folk to develop creatively, and hosts public-facing events and festivals.
Key projects include CEREMONY, a festival of performance held in Copeland Park in April 2025; An Eternity of Nothingness, a year-long series of performances by Martin O’Brien at Whitechapel Gallery; and In Search of the Miraculous, a weekend gathering exploring art making as a miraculous act, held in the pilgrim village of Walsingham, Norfolk, in 2023.
Future Ritual also runs STUDIO, a new space for performance and physical practice in the Bussey Building, Peckham. STUDIO offers our communities affordable access to space for rehearsal, creation, and classes, alongside a regular programme of workshops and events.
CEREMONY, will return to Copeland Park in November 2026.
