Vintage clothing shop Little Sister is run by Peckham local Nicola Brierley, a former TV camerawoman, self-confessed “chatterbox”, wife and mother of three.

After a long stint in TV, Nicola started to collect expertly sourced, quality pre-loved clothing for women and men. Having scoured festivals and fairs in and around South London, after 15 years in the business, she had amassed a collection of handpicked gems not just from London and the UK, but all over the world.

From 2016, Nicola’s little vintage shop made its home at the back of the historic Holdrons Arcade. Set on the old ‘Oxford Street of South London’, the arcade now houses around 20 small retail businesses but – back in the 1930s and 40s – it was part of a department store which rivalled Selfridges. So if you’re looking to add a touch of ‘Are You Being Served?’ to your wardrobe, Little Sister will not disappoint.

Nicola is as passionate about vintage and second hand clothing as she is Little Sister’s location, insisting  “vintage clothing and well-preserved Peckham is the perfect combination”. After all Peckham is where Nicola has lived and raised her children for the last 20 years – proof that most people who come here find it hard to leave.

Go see for yourself, Little Sister’s collection dates from the 1920s to 1990s and prices range from £5-80.
