Fine art framing service RABBET is run by Josh and Jodie. Together they have extensive experience of handling, mounting and framing fine art in a range of media, from canvases and works on paper, to wall reliefs and small scale sculptural pieces. RABBET create bespoke mounts and frames by hand using museum standard, conservation friendly, techniques and materials. With a client list including national art collections, individual artists and private clients, you can be sure your artwork is in safe hands.
Working with RABBET usually starts with a free consultation, which can take place in the studio or via video call. One of the team will take you through a variety of mounting, framing and glazing options to ensure you find something that suits your tastes. Once you’ve decided, the team will get to work mounting and framing your piece to your specification. RABBET mount all artworks using conservation standard materials. From window mounts cut from acid-free mount card and float mounts made using Japanese paper hinges, to more bespoke mounting solutions, all their methods are designed to be completely reversible and ensure the long term care of your artwork. All the frames are cut, joined and finished by hand to the highest possible standard. RABBET offer a range of wood mouldings and profiles, including box moulding in oak, ash and maple, as well as mouldings with more ornate and decorative profiles. Once joined, frames are sanded and finished with care using a range of waxes, stain and paint. Glazing is precisely cut to order to ensure the best possible fit, with a variety of UV and anti-reflective acrylic and glass available.
If you have an artwork or object you would like to have framed, why not get in touch to say hello!
