This award-winning yoga studio is also a Yoga Alliance Centre of Excellence and was founded by Peckham locals Emma and Sean Hitzelberger. Its 2014 mission was to bring London’s expert teachers to South East London in a space that is welcoming, inclusive and creative and now, with their second space opened in 2017, they offer a wide range of classes and workshops at affordable prices, every day of the week.

Studio 1 is open-plan with grey vinyl floors, chipboard walls and loads of colour and character to keep energy levels going. Studio 2 has a cosier feel with polished wooden floors and subtle, diffused lighting. From beginners and pregnancy yoga, to dynamic vinyasa, yin, hatha, rocket yoga and meditation, there is something for everyone and all abilities are welcome.

The duo, along with Misty the dog, liked the area’s solid community vibe and now host two community classes per week – that are donation based (or free) – with all profits going to a different charity every month, such as Southwark Foodbank and South London Cares.

In addition to studio based classes, you will also find Yogarise up on the Bussey Building rooftop from June to September, and you can also take part in regular workshops at Sweaty Betty in East Dulwich.
