From 15-17th September, Copeland Park and venues across Peckham will host a wide-ranging programme of free events that celebrate the creativity of this unique neighbourhood.
Collaborating with local talent is at the core of the festival’s ethos and this year we are working with more programming partners than ever before. Local music platforms, GALA, Balamii and Orii Community will be taking over the main stage at Copeland Park.
The ever popular Jumbi and Prince of Peckham will be collaborating for the first time to host an evening of world class DJs.
Copeland Gallery will host ‘Staying Power’, an immersive exhibition exploring Black British identity, curated by @thepalaceofthedogs x Don’t Touch My Heritage – Peckham Festival’s Arts Council Exhibition Grant recipients.
Made in Peckham will return with open studios, showcasing over 200 artists and designers who will welcome visitors into their homes and studios across Peckham. While Pexmas will curate 100 independent makers exhibiting in UNIT 08 at Copeland Park, offering a unique opportunity to purchase works directly from local creatives.
We’re proud to be working for the first time with local organisations Ourhood Community and Voir-X. Ourhood Community will be hosting a pop-up of premium Black-owned brands. Voir-X will be supporting emerging designers and models plus independent brands with a fashion show.
Peckham Festival is the only local festival to offer such a wide variety of free workshops for families, and this year there will be a host of events to get involved in including skateboarding, screen printing classes, ceramics and gardening workshops as well as djembe drumming circle sessions and literature groups.
We’ll be announcing our full lineup very soon. We can’t wait to see you all!
Peckham Festival is free thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and partners: Arts Council England, Lottery Community Fund, Southwark Council, Social, Peckham Playground, Market, KANPAI, Eko Brewery and Rooftop Film Club.
