Solo exhibition by artist Freddie Darke. Rumours of Treasure presents a large body of paintings that span the last two years of Darke’s studio practise. Using flea markets and figures in the act of searching as a starting point, the works suggest hidden histories and intertwined narratives, both personal and collective. Past, present, fact and fiction blur, in a painterly world that can feel nostalgic one minute, post-apocalyptic the next.
