Go, go, go, said the bird: human kind
Cannot bear very much reality.
Time past and time future
What might have been and what has been
Point to one end, which is always present.
Burnt Norton, by TS Eliot
Unprimed Collective returns to Safehouse, Peckham in May with Time to Time, an exhibition that engages with notions of time, timelessness, consciousness and memory.
Time to Time is the third exhibition from Unprimed, a group of international artists who are alumni of the 22/23 Turps Correspondence Course.
In this new show, Unprimed will re-inhabit and re-animate the stripped-back domestic interiors of Safehouse with paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures and performance.
Is your time my time?
Is it borrowed, running out, lost, layered, linear, circular or deep?
Each artist is suspended in their own timeline, simultaneously creating work yet often in different time zones. Work ebbs and flows and images transform and change with process and thought. Time swirls inexorably all around us.
Pre-historic drawings in remote caves, treasures found under floorboards, a Victorian house built for a family, a glimpse of the future from dystopian headlines… the artists of Unprimed bring their work into an ever-evolving time capsule.
