A Quiet Leap Forward is a collaborative exhibition between multi-disciplinary visual artists Kome Eleyae and G3negraphy, creating a series of large and small scale mixed-media pieces and writings that explore and celebrate what it feels like to come of age in London.

These works attempt to hold space for that experience.

The dizzying highs, the quiet crashes, and everything in between.

Photography forms a large part of G3negraphy’s practice with the pair jointly directing and capturing a range of references to work from, trying to find fleeting moments that felt honest and unresolved. From there, they built the final compositions together before Kome paints the figures in his signature style. The pair have worked together to create atmospheric worlds, using a wide range of media in dramatic gradients that hold a kind of emotional temperature that grounds each piece.

This collection is about the tension between chaos and clarity, between the city’s noise and the solitude we steal for ourselves. Each work is a fragment of that in-between space, where identity is still forming and everything feels urgent, fragile, and real.
