Jennifer Lucy Allan is the next speaker in The Kiln Rooms’ 2026 programme of artist talks.

Jennifer Lucy Allan is a writer and researcher, whose book ‘Clay: A Human History’ explores the story of humankind and our relationship to making. A love letter to clay, Jennifer’s book combines archaeology, history, and her lived experience as an amateur potter, and she will discussing these themes.

Designed to enrich and inspire creative practice, the talk will last 30-60 minutes, followed by a Q&A.
