The Jumbi UNIT/08 takeover comes to the end of it’s 6 week stretch!

After hosting some incredible events with the likes of Recess, Giles Smith, Iration Steppas, Pxssy Palace, Suzio and many more – Jumbi close it off in local style with the one and only RHYTHM SECTION.

Come rain or shine – you’re covered – literally.

Regulars will be all too familiar with the southern hemisphere’s most notorious party starters: Wax’o Paradiso. Made up of Simon TK and Edd Fisher – these 2 Melbourne DJ’s have been defining the contemporary sounds of Australia for the past decade and beyond. Regular collaborators with Rhythm Section’s Bradley Zero – it only made sense to invite them down for the finale. There’s literally no better duo when it comes to a summer daytime dance.

Retromigration aka Malik is the German born, Amsterdam based artist on everyone’s lips. Repped by Sounds Familiar, he’s been making waves with EPs on Wolf, Handy and Paramida’s Love on the Rocks – all of which have made him a regular on the global circuit. Last year he headlined the Jumbi B’day and in light of his forthcoming EP on Rhythm Section – it made sense to bring him back for a daytime jam.

Monty DJ is another Dutch phenom, conquering the world of electronic music one killer set at a time. A regular at Dekmantel, Lentekabinet and Radio Radio in Amsterdam, Monty’s Label ‘Flippen Disks’ has gained international notoriety of late with releases inhabiting the more experimental, percussive reaches of house, techno and bass music.

YEESH is Rhythm Section’s label assistant and an ascendent DJ in her own right. An encyclopaedia of contemporary soul drenched sounds, YEESH has recently been branching out into the worlds of house and broken beat with music partner Marvin Jupiter on voices radio.

Very Special guests from London and beyond will join in UNIT/08 and on Jumbi’s terrace to complete the bill.

MORE INFO
For six weeks only, from 11th July – 18th August, the Jumbi team will be running SubSkate taking over UNIT/08 — an entirely new experience built around movement, sound, and community.

By day, SubSkate operates as a roller rink: an open space for people to skate, connect, and move freely. By night, the space transforms into a bass-reactive dancefloor, with subwoofers built directly beneath the floor, allowing dancers to physically feel the low-end frequencies as part of the music experience.

Bring your skates or pick up a pair on site.

General Admission hosted in collaboration with Skate of Minds: Tue–Thu + some Sundays, 10am – 6pm
Expect mellow music, good vibes and space to hang. Sometimes free, sometimes £5–15 depending on the event. From 22nd July, Tue–Thu under 16s go free from 3-6pm.
Pay on the door or via Eventbrite.

Weekend Parties hosted in collaboration with Resident Advisor: Fri–Sat + some Sundays, 6:30–11:30pm
When the weekend hits, roller space turns up the energy. Expect a full-blown party with DJs, dancing, and the option to skate.
Tickets via Resident Advisor + skate tickets £5 extra on the night.
