The Couch at Copeland Park understand that life isn’t just about the good times. It offers psychological therapy to help with issues such as anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, depression, anger, sexual issues, eating disorders, OCD, phobias, PTSD, trauma, abuse, self-esteem, work/career, alcoholism, drug addiction, sexual addiction, emotional crises, and bereavements.

Sometimes it’s hard to identify the circumstances in life that can result in the above issues so The Couch provides evidenced-based interventions to individuals, couples, young people and families of all ages and all backgrounds. It goes beyond working with distress to promote positive psychology by building emotional resilience, improving self-esteem, encouraging self-awareness and building confidence.

In addition to The Couch, check out Men’s Minds Matter. This is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to building psychological resilience and emotional strength to prevent suicide in males.
A 2015 Samaritans’ report showed that 75 per cent of all suicides in the UK and Republic of Ireland were committed by men; and MMM has opted to tackle this devastating issue head on.

Men’s Minds Matter is dedicated and passionate about reducing suicide rates, and is run by volunteers. You could do not harm in finding out more so visit the website.
